Coronavirus in Brasilia
59857 confirmed cases, 715 deaths

Chart from the Health Secretary. Updated on July 6th

Governor Ibaneis Rocha loosened many restrictions and shops, fitness centers, hair and nail salons were authorized to reopen, but it is still mandatory to use masks in public spaces. Also it is recommended the social distance, 2 meter. Yesterday, however, there were some crowded spots along the JK bridge.

Ibaneis Rocha also authorized the reopening of the schools (private schools could have presential classes already in July 27th and public schools on August 3rd), but there is a mobilization of families to postpone it. They fear it is not the moment for kids go back to school. There is even a joke that is becoming popular: if the schools are unable to control lice, how can we expect they will control coronavirus?
