News from Brasilia 09/01/2020

Just for a change, let's start this post with a picture of ipê amarelo?

My family in Brasilia and friends have been taking gorgeous pictures with yellow ipê. I know it's so dry, the grass is brownish, but this beauty? Wow! It doesn't last long! So, enjoy! And get ready for the other colors. The white ipe is also wow.

I hope you all are well and enjoying Brasilia somehow. We are in September and still coronavirus is a huge concern. It seems we will have to live with this virus surrounding us for a while. I think I mentioned before that I had plans to travel to Brazil in July. Unfortunately our flight was cancelled so we stayed in Poland for the summer vacation. In a way it was good because we traveled a lot around Poland (beautiful country!). Our neighbors joke that we must know Poland better that a lot of Poles. I think that's what expats do: we are curious and we want to know a lot about the place we are living since we all know it's temporary.

How has been your experience living in Brasilia? Do you have a question? Let me know and maybe I can help you with that!

Now, COVID-19 news :(

Coronavirus in Brasilia
